ELK GROVE — Today the Sacramento County Deputy Sheriffs’ Association (SCDSA) announced it was endorsing Elk Grove City Councilmember Pat Hume for the open District 5 seat on the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors.  Current Supervisor Don Notolli, who was endorsed by SCDSA in past elections, has announced his retirement.

“Keeping people safe from crime has always been a top priority,” said City Councilman Hume, “that is why I am so deeply honored to have earned the support of the men and women of the Deputy Sheriffs’ Association, who are on the front lines protecting our families safe.”

“There could not be a clearer choice for Supervisor,” said Sacramento County Deputy Sheriffs’ Association President Sergeant Nathan Seger. “Only one candidate has shown the commitment to keeping our streets safe and standing up for victims - that is why we are supporting Pat Hume.”

“My goal is to ensure there are fewer victims,” said Hume, “that means crime prevention and getting habitual criminals off our streets.  I will work with the Sheriff’s Office, District Attorney Office and our law enforcement agencies to ensure we are doing everything possible to make our neighborhoods safer.”

Pat Hume was elected to the Elk Grove City Council in 2006, and overwhelmingly re-elected three (3) times, most recently in 2018 when he earned nearly 60% of the vote.  District 5 includes the cities of Elk Grove, Galt and Isleton, and Rancho Cordova, and the unincorporated communities of Rosemont, Wilton, and the Delta.
